Recently I've focused more on my PC gaming (CS 1.6) with team #state (A branch of clan from #disillusionment) to prepare for a LAN event held in Birmingham - the SGL Summer Slam. We went with very little practice after recruiting a new member a week before the event surpassed our own expectations by coming 3rd in our group. Overall the LAN was a good time and we shall be looking to attend others in the future. On the Halo side of things I've now moved up to 49 in Team Slayer and have also started binging on forge. So far I've made two jump assault course type maps that can be downloaded to halo from the following locations;
Jump arena2 - a slightly more polished all round course
Both should be accompanied with the created game variant arena mode that will help to guide you through the level.
A follow friend and forger 'A Twitchy Gamer' has also come out with a notable creation - BR Train 008 (map) and BR Training (game type). If you're looking to improve on your BR skill you can't actually go wrong with this map =] that is all for now CY@~~
Recently I've been trying to work out more tactical jumps; either solving problems that I find in and around the levels or working our harder tactical jumps so they can be easily explained to others. I was going to upload a few videos but after the first the GeeVee grab went down again so there's only one:
(sadly this video did work out as planned having the blue time bar and player information that I usually leave out of these videos)
Apart from that jump, probably the hardest I've been working on is the jump from sniper spawn walkway (between grav hammer and sniper) and overshield walkway on Guardian - explained on halowiki here. Apart from that I've just been messing around on social and playing doubles with keith who has now reached 46 and looks set to get his 50 before the 600Exp mark.
Our Counter-strike team #disillusionment has decided to bring back a much older version of the team that now includes almost all our old CS playing friends. This means that the team is now much more varied in skill and much less serious; find us at enemydown here.
GeeVee grab is back online so I thought I'd upload another jump video -
This is the latest addition to the Guardian Tactical Jump section on the halowiki.net site; somthing that is growing by the day. Other than that not much has really happened halo3 wise, disillusionment won both 'fun tournaments' but have had to put the game down competativly for a while with the current ED:Resurection counterstrike 1.6 tournament taking place. So I've just been milling around social and trying out the newest jumps, the most recent and hardest to date being this -
The future should be more competative play, getting jumps consistant, expanding the clan and hopfully UK based league action with enemydown.co.uk's recent move to consoles. Peace out
Well that absolutly failed on it's arse.. welcome to alot later in time when I still play halo but it's the new one.
Currently I post on halowiki.net under the alis Froufrou and have the same alis on my geevee account.
Competativly I play for team disillusionment as I have done for over a year now. With counter-strike in the UK slowing down we've picked up halo3 on the side and are currently unbeaten in the few matches we've play on halo3league.com.I'm still trying to get my computer counter-strike worthy so I can play in the up and coming Resurection money tournament on enemydown.co.uk ... HALO TOURNAMENTBasically, quite a few people have been talking about having a halo2 tournament so me/keith/rees/murray are going to be trying to get one organised. The idea is that we'll have two seperate tournaments: 1. team tournament - teams of 4, £5 a person, team on team knockout winning team takes all
2. slayer tournament - £2.50 a head, games of 4, top two go through (football fixtures) first/second/third prize (to be decided)
once the amount of participants has been finalised we'll discuss rules/maps(etc) teams can quickly signup on thislink - it's as simple as scrolling down and clicking "i'll be there" as an example i've already entered my team "disillusionment" ^_^. if you don't want to do that just talk to us or reply to my email address (careymoyle@hotmail.com)
